As the harvest wanes and the nights grow long
we light a path for strangers, loved ones and ancestors
we share familiar stories from foreign lands
we celebrate the abiding cycle of
sowing, reaping and releasing
sowing, reaping and releasing
sowing, reaping and releasing
Continuing our exploration of home and neighborhood as an essential place to make and share performances, neighbors from near and far gather at the house on Sabina Ave for an evening of songs and stories, warm food and warm drinks.
Shiver Stories in the Holler was performed by Dan, Juanita and Temple and featured folk songs and tales from Mexico to Canada including La Llorona (The Weeping One), La Bruja (The Witch) and The Skeleton Woman.
