Winter is finally over. We have longed for the birds to come back.
Put a Bird on It is a delightful evening of suspense, opera, narrative, puppetry and more than a few feathers. From the imaginations of soprano Lydia Beasley, puppeteer Julia M. Smith, performer Susan Stroupe and designer Sarah Lloyd comes a retelling of the classic thriller The Birds with avian inspired arias, shadow puppetry, hanging branches, gothic poetry…and feathers.
Put a Bird on It premiered at the Second Space of Single Carrot in May 2014 and was presented at The Shed on September 26th and 27th.
